Telemystery: Jason Lee Cast in CBS Pilot Second Sight

Last October, CBS ordered an adaptation of the BBC crime drama Second Sight as a potential series for Fall 2013. Now we're learning that Jason Lee (formerly of TNT's Memphis Beat) has been cast in the lead role of a New Orleans detective with an ocular disorder that causes him to have visually stimulating dreams and hallucinations. He's not at any risk of going blind, but he conceals what he comes to call his "second sight" from his colleagues. (Clive Owen played the part in the original British series.)

The pilot was written by Michael Cuesta (Dexter, Homeland) and Gerald Cuesta. A series decision is expected in May during the annual network upfront presentations.
