BBC America has released a 30-second promo for its upcoming crime drama, Ripper Street. The eight-part series is set in and around Whitechapel in London's East End in 1889, during the aftermath of the infamous Jack the Ripper murders.
Matthew Macfadyen stars as Detective Inspector Edmund Reid of the infamous H Division, the police precinct charged with keeping order in the district.
Ripper Street airs this Fall in the UK, and will premiere in the US in January 2013.
