Britain's Minister of Defence — Charles Wilson MP — suspects that someone is going to kill him. He needs to get his affairs in order in the eventuality that they succeed. He enlists the services of Moon, Telford & Co., London's most reputable Private Law firm. Sir Robert Moon, the firm's illustrious senior partner, turns to his trusted and promising young employee — David Ross — to look after the Minister.

Before he knows it, David becomes entangled in an intricate web of lies, deceit and scandalous skulduggery. He is slowly embroiled into a plot that threatens to derail his career, threaten his freedom and destroy his life. As he approaches the point of no return, his sense of duty and his unshakeable moral principles drive him forwards in the search for the truth. Working alongside the brilliant and beautiful barrister Charlotte De Courcey, David uncovers layer after layer of sleaze.

Is it true that the minister has had "dangerous liaisons" with a string of eligible women? Why is his wife so desperately and publicly inebriated? Why does she spit insults so indiscriminately? What really happened to their son in Marrakesh? Who is following David in the shadowy backstreets of London? What really goes on at the mysterious Wellheld Clinic? Where does the hackneyed journalist Bob Derek find his information and who is the thug with the dagger tattoo?

By the stunning white dome of one of Venice's grandest landmarks a body with two slugs in the back of the head has been pulled from the icy waters. The victim is a woman, dressed in the sacred robes of a Catholic priest — a desecration that becomes known as the Abomination.

Working her first murder case, Captain Kat Tapo embarks on a trail that proves as elusive and complicated as the city's labyrinthine backstreets. What Kat discovers will test her loyalties and remind her of a simple truth: Unless old crimes are punished, corrupt forces will continue to repeat their mortal sins.

With a needle and thread, Harlow Jane Cassidy is capable of magic. Her neighbors in Bliss, Texas, on the other hand, are capable of murder …

Any garment Harlow stitches together has the power to grant the deepest desire of whomever wears it. So when she's asked to sew aprons for a local women's group, Harlow must get to know each member. First up is Delta Lee Mobley, who doesn't care much for Harlow's family — or anyone else in Bliss, for that matter. Granting Delta's greatest wish could only lead to trouble …

But trouble finds Delta all the same. The day after Harlow delivers her apron, Delta's body is discovered in the cemetery. It seems one of the townsfolk harbored ill will toward one of their own. Harlow's sleuthing skills are a cut above the rest, and with a few magical tricks up her sleeve, she is determined to cuff this killer once and for all.

Someone seems to be orchestrating a major smear campaign against maverick film director Jerry Margashack, rehashing old rumours and releasing damaging information to the media. With a major new movie coming out and big-money Oscar nominations at stake, Hollywood producer Frank Jurado hires former stuntman-turned-private investigator David Spandau to find out who's behind it.

At the same time, Spandau's ex-wife has asked for his help in tracking down her new partner, who has disappeared — along with all the money in their joint savings account.

As Spandau is to discover, Jerry Margashack made plenty of enemies over the years. As well as uncovering some deeply disturbing aspects of the movie director's past, his investigations attract some extremely unwelcome attention. Spandau is about to find himself in the midst of a lethal turf war: a war in which there can be only one winner.
