Telemystery: Burn Notice Renewed for a 7th Season
USA Network has renewed Burn Notice for a seventh season. The order of 13 episodes is smaller than in previous seasons, which numbered between 16 and 18 episodes each, though presumably we're not intended to read too much into that fact.
"Burn Notice is like a fine wine that gets better with age," said USA Network co-presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel. "Delivering high-octane action, gripping drama and nearly 7 million viewers for the mid-season finale, this veteran series is a proven staple of our portfolio."
Jeffrey Donovan stars as Michael Westen, an international spy who suddenly finds himself blacklisted — "burned" in company-speak. Back in his hometown of Miami, Michael uses his skills to help people in need ... mostly people who can't get help from the police.
The seventh season will likely premiere in June 2013.

First Teaser Poster for Jurassic Park 3D
The first teaser poster for Jurassic Park 3D was released today on the film's Facebook page (right; click for larger image).
Long-time readers of this site will start to wonder how many "top 10" films we can possibly have on our Top 10 list of favorite films but we can honestly say that Jurassic Park holds a firm spot on that list. It is almost the perfect thriller: compelling storyline, terrific casting, brilliant direction, amazing production. We're not altogether sold on the whole 3D idea, but that seems to be the re-release trend de jour so we'll go with it.
Here's the basic plotline: On a remote island, a wealthy entrepreneur (Richard Attenborough) secretly builds a theme park featuring live dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. Before opening the attraction to the public, he invites a top paleontologist (Sam Neill), a paleobotanist (Laura Dern), a mathematician/theorist (Jeff Goldblum), and his two eager grandchildren to experience the park — but their visit is anything but tranquil as the park's security system breaks down, the prehistoric creatures break out.
Directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay adapted from Michael Crichton's novel of the same title, Jurassic Park first opened in theaters June 11th, 1993. The 3D release opens in theaters April 5th, 2013.
Skyfall Opens in Theaters November 9th
Skyfall. Opens in US theaters November 09, 2012. And if international sales are any indication — it premiered in the UK on October 23rd and more widely internationally on October 26th — it will be a blockbuster here in the US.
James Bond's (Daniel Craig) loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Directed by Sam Mendes from an original screenplay by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and John Logan.
Running time: 143 minutes Rated PG-13 for intense violent sequences throughout, some sexuality, language and smoking.
