The Complete Saga
Michael Kitchen stars in this universally acclaimed mystery series as DCS Christopher Foyle, investigating crimes on the home front during WWII and counterintelligence threats at the dawn of the Cold War. Also starring Honeysuckle Weeks, Anthony Howell, and a host of fantastic guest stars, this complete series boasts superb acting, uncompromising historical accuracy, and compelling mysteries.
It is, in our opinion, the best crime drama ever produced for television.
Over 6 hours of bonus features in this set! The retrospective program "Foyle's War Revisited" (57 min.); interviews with series writer and creator Anthony Horowitz (32 min.), stars Anthony Howell and Honeysuckle Weeks (14 min.), and Set 8 guest star John Mahoney (21 min.); making-of documentaries for Sets 3, 4, & 5 (44 min.); four behind-the-scenes featurettes for Set 7 (86 min.); a day in the life of "Foyle's War" (26 min.); back in time with "Foyle's War" (27 min.); introductions by Horowitz for Set 7 (15 min.) and featurettes about the truth behind the fiction for Set 8 (52 min.); production notes, historical backgrounds, cast reflections, and photo galleries; and a 24-page collector's guide with a foreword by Horowitz, history about the era, episode synopses, character profiles, and reflections on the show.
The Complete Miniseries
Moving between two timelines, 2008 and the present day, this police procedural miniseries follows the story of detective Maggie Brand as she investigates the disappearance of five year old Callum Reid after a neighbourhood party. Callum was never found and the case has never been solved. Then, five years after he disappeared, a child's body is discovered, buried only yards from Callum's own front door, and the nightmare begins all over again.
This ITV crime drama originally aired in Fall 2013.
The Ken Stott Collection
Ken Stott stars as DI John Rebus in these adaptations of Ian Rankin's crime novels. Set in gritty, modern-day Edinburgh, these 10 engrossing mysteries show the sardonic hero as he hounds down murderers, haunted by his own shortcomings and the human tragedy he faces daily. His eager and ambitious young partner, DS Siobhan Clarke (Claire Price), resents her gruff mentor's unorthodox methods but gradually comes to respect his abilities. And though Rebus's disdain for police procedure and politics earns him the ire of his superiors, no one can argue with his results.
