A few quick updates on Telemystery series …
• Lilyhammer has been canceled after three seasons on Netflix. Co-produced with Norwegian television, the series stars Steve Van Zandt as Frank "The Fixeer" Tagliano, a former mobster who is relocated to Lillehammer (Norway) via a federal witness protection program.
• The Cinemax original series Banshee will end after its fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere in January 2016. Antony Starr stars as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief, who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he continues his criminal activities, even as he's hunted by the shadowy gangsters he betrayed years earlier.
• Netflix has announced that the fourth season of Longmire will be available to stream on September 10th. A&E (inexplicably) canceled the high-rated series after three seasons and Netflix promptly picked it up. Based on a character created by crime novelist Craig Johnson, Robert Taylor stars as Walt Longmire, the dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming.
