On the way south from Washington, D.C., a boating accident requires repairs, but Harry doesn't have enough money to pay the bill. A nefarious boat yard controller, exiled from his family's crime business in New Jersey, offers Harry a job delivering some boxes from Daytona Beach to a Silicon Valley scientist/inventor.
Harry discovers the contents of the boxes he has delivered and is hired to find the who's and why's of a counterfeiting scheme, stolen currency paper and two murders. He gets caught up in this compelling coast-to-coast mystery and finds himself back in the detective business.
