Justin Marsh, a wealthy serial entrepreneur, spends his days and nights locked away in his Bethesda, MD condo coding a future prediction platform. The technology and demand for such a platform have arrived and Justin hopes he can find answers to the devastating depression gripping the nation and the political turmoil that divides it. He's just not sure what questions to ask. As a front, he's billed himself as a freelance cybersecurity consultant and takes on the occasional contract for appearances' sake.

Justin receives a mysterious request from the CEO of a rising financial services company about to issue a lucrative IPO. After meeting in secret with the CEO and his inner circle, Justin learns that a large number of customer account information has been stolen by foreign-based hackers. To make matters more perplexing, the hackers have requested that Justin be assigned to solve how the data breach was accomplished. If he fails, the hackers have threatened to go public with the information, effectively destroying the rising company's IPO and possibly the company itself.

Given a very short period of time to solve the mystery, Justin is forced to resort to his highly-developed problem solving and reasoning skills. Over the course of the next several days, Justin navigates his complicated personal and professional lives, often to humorous effect, as he's forced out of his condo and into the world he distrusts.
