Telemystery: NBC Renews The Blacklist for a Second Season

Telemystery Prime Time Crime: Mystery and Suspense on Television

NBC has renewed its best-performing new series, The Blacklist, for a second season of 22 episodes.

James Spader stars as Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives known as "The Concierge of Crime", who makes a deal with the agency to assist them in catching criminals that have eluded their grasp.

"The success of The Blacklist demonstrates that inspired storytelling is alive and well in broadcast television," said NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt. "With gratitude to both our partners at Sony Pictures Television and our NBC development executives who took a great script and shepherded it into a great series, I hope that Red Reddington never runs out of names to bring down on his list!"
