Cinedigm Acquires North American Rights To Second and Third Films in Swedish Noir Trilogy by Jens Lapidus

Mystery, Suspense and Thriller Film News

Cinedigm has acquired the North American rights to the two sequels to Easy MoneyHard To Kill and Life Deluxe — Swedish-language adaptations of the second and third books in the trilogy of Swedish noir thrillers by Jens Lapidus.

"We're thrilled to bring these two gripping films to audiences in North America," said Vincent Scordino, Senior Vice President of Theatrical Releasing, for Cinedigm. "Joel [Kinnaman]'s tremendous work in the Easy Money films makes it easy to understand why Hollywood has embraced him, he is a star."

Cinedigm has slated both films for release in 2014 across all platforms, including theatrical, digital and physical DVD and Blu-ray Discs.

We reviewed Easy Money earlier this year (read our review, here), saying, "Joel Kinnaman is excellent in the role of JW, which is key to this film's success as the story is basically all about him." Warner Bros. has optioned the US remake rights to the film, which is in development with Zac Efron attached to star as JW.
