The 7" tablet (Wi-Fi only) in the new generation of Kindle Fires: The HDX Family is now in stock and shipping! (The 8.9" tablet is expected to start shipping next week, November 15th, 2013.)

The shipment date for the Kindle Fire 7" 4G LTE model (both AT&T and Verizon) is November 14th, 2013; the 8.9" model has a release date of December 10th, 2013.

The HDX comes in two models — 7" and 8.9" — and feature quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processors, 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU for fast, fluid gaming and video, 16, 32 or 64GB of storage and new higher-resolution displays (1920x1200px (323 ppi) on the 7", 2560x1600px (339 ppi) on the 8.9"). The larger model also includes an 8MP 1080p HD rear camera in addition to the front-facing 720p HD camera for Skype video calls and more.

In addition to storage options, these tablets can be selected with or without special offers and as wi-fi only devices or wi-fi with 4G LTE.

Available now is a refreshed version of the Kindle Fire HD 7" with a new, lower price: $139! The Kindle Fire HD comes with either 8GB or 16GB of storage, has a 1280x800px display, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, dual stereo speakers and the new Fire OS 3.0 "Mojito" operating system. The casing is also thinner and lighter just like the new HDX tablets.
