Winners of the 2013 Davitt Awards Announced

Mystery, Suspense and Thriller Book Awards

The winners of the 2013 Davitt Award have been announced by Sisters of Crime Australia recognizing the best crime books written by women and published in Australia.

The winners are …

• Best Adult Novel: Mad Men, Bad Girls and the Guerilla Knitters Institute by Maggie Groff (Pan)

• Best Debut Novel: Mad Men, Bad Girls and the Guerilla Knitters Institute by Maggie Groff (Pan)

• Best Young Adult Novel: The Tunnels of Tarcoola by Jennifer Walsh (Allen & Unwin)

• Best True Crime: The Waterlow Killings by Pamela Burton (Victory)

• Readers Choice Award: Tamam Shud: The Somerton Man Mystery by Kerry Greenwood (NewSouth Publishing)
