NBC has put The Mysteries of Laura into development as a potential drama for the network.
Based on the Spanish series Los Misterios de Laura, it is centered on a female homicide detective, who like any other woman must balance her career with her personal life. She is a brilliant police inspector who, after her recent divorce, must face complicated cases and also take charge of two small potential criminals: her children. She also must work directly with her ex-husband, who is her new boss, and with a womanizer colleague who happens to be her perfect match.
Jeff Rake (Bones, Cashmere Mafia, Hawthorne) is writing the pilot screenplay and will co-executive produce.
