Here's a film adaptation that escaped our attention … until today, when Summit Entertainment released a 12-second teaser video for Divergent, based on the young adult dystopian thriller of the same title by Veronica Roth (more information about the book, below).
Set in a future where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late.
Directed by Neil Burger from an adapted screenplay by Vanessa Taylor and Evan Daugherty, Divergent will be in theaters March 21st, 2014.
