Winners of the 2013 Thriller Awards Announced

Mystery, Suspense and Thriller Book Awards

The winners of 2013 Thriller Awards were announced over the weekend recognizing the best in the genre as selected by the International Thriller Writers organization.

• Best Novel: Spilled Blood by Brian Freeman (SilverOak)

• Best Paperback Original: Lake Country by Sean Doolittle (Bantam)

• Best First Novel: The 500 by Matthew Quirk (Little, Brown)

• Best Short Story: "Lost Things" by John Rector (Thomas & Mercer)

• Best Young Adult Novel: False Memory by Dan Krokos (Hyperion Books)

• Best eBook Original Novel: Blind Faith by C. J. Lyons (C. J. Lyons)

Anne Rice was this year's ThrillerMaster, with special recognition going to Steve Berry, who received the Literary Silver Bullet Award and the USO, which received the Corporate Silver Bullet Award, for outstanding contributions to the thriller genre.
