Dr. Quincy (Jack Klugman) is a medical examiner with a quick wit and an eye for the important little details. Assisted by his faithful lab assistant, Sam Fujiyama (Robert Ito), Quincy often uses his skills to challenge the LAPD with new findings and missed details.

This sixth season of the popular series originally aired on NBC from October 1976 through May 1983.

The crime drama follows a former New York City police detective named Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), who suffers from hyperthymesia, a rare medical condition that gives her the ability to remember everything. She is reluctantly asked by her former boyfriend and one-time partner to join his homicide unit after he asks for help with solving a case.

The move allows her to do the one thing she has been trying to remember, that of finding out how her sister was murdered.

This first season of the series aired on CBS from September 2011 through May 2012, at which point it was not renewed for a second season. The network, however, changed its mind and ordered a shortened 13-episode second season that premieres later this month on July 28th.
