The winner of the inaugural Petrona Award was announced yesterday during CrimeFest, recognizing the best Scandinavian crime novel translated into English. The award is named in honor of Maxine Clarke, who blogged and reviewed as "Petrona" and was a champion of the field.
And the winner is Liza Marklund for Last Will, first published in her native Sweden as Nobels testamente and translated by Neil Smith.
