Blood of the Vine: Season One

Blood of the Vine
Season One

Pierre Arditi stars as Benjamin Lebel, a luminary in his field: an internationally renowned wine expert who publishes a keenly-awaited new guide every year. When the local police chief enlists his help in the hunt for a serial killer who combines murders with Grand Crus, Benjamin's intuition and his nose are stimulated by the puzzling case. They both prove infallible as he works his own investigation in the sumptuous settings of the loveliest wine-growing regions in France.

Bitten by the investigative bug and welcomed by the police as an expert, he seeks out new mysteries to solve in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards and in the regions of Cognac and Champagne.

Adapted from the mysteries by, and based on characters created by, Jean-Pierre Alaux et Noël Balen, Blood of the Vine (Le Sang de la vigne) is a series of full-bodied, yet light thrillers! (In French with English subtitles.)

Perception: Season One

Perception
Season One

Eric McCormack stars as Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric neuroscience professor, whose revealing visions help him uncover what lies beneath conscious emotion. Though recruited by the FBI for his masterful understanding of the human mind, Daniel's odd and offbeat view makes it difficult for him to get close to anyone.

His former student, Agent Kate Moretti (Rachael Leigh Cook), is one of the few people willing to accept Daniel's peculiarities in exchange for his imaginative solutions.

Two very different personalities join forces as they try to tackle the Bureau's most complex cases.

This first season of the series aired during Summer 2012 on TNT. The second season premieres on June 25th, 2013.

True Blood: Season Five

True Blood
Season Five

Based on the Sookie Stackhouse, Southern Vampire mysteries by Charlaine Harris, True Blood stars Anna Paquin as the telepathic barmaid living in Bon Temps, Louisiana.

Season Five introduces a whole new wave of otherworldly characters. There's Vampire Guardian Roman, president of the Vampire Authority, who wants co-existence between humans and vampires; vampire zealot Salome (yes, the Salome), intent on recreating the world in God's vampyric image; Authority Chancellor Nora, who shares the same maker as Eric; werewolves J. D. and Martha, who want a reluctant Alcide to take his rightful place as packmaster; and many more.

Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, this fifth season — which aired during Summer 2012 on HBO — goes deep into the battle between the Vampire Authority and "vampire fundamentalists" — a political power play whose outcome could decide not only the fate of Sookie and her Bon Temps friends, but of all human existence.
