Columbia Pictures has released a slightly modified version of an previously released poster for the action thriller White House Down (right; click for larger version). The tagline: "It all goes down June 28".
We actually forgot to post the original when it was released a few weeks ago (below, left), which has Capitol police officer John Cale (Channing Tatum's character) taking the lead to protect President James Sawyer (played by Jamie Foxx) after the White House overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group.
This new version separates the characters, making them appear to be more partners than one leading the other. That's actually more consistent with the scenes from the trailer, in which they do work together to go after the bad guys.
Despite its over-the-top premise, this is one film we're looking forward to seeing this summer. (You have to remember, we're fans of Bruce Willis and his "Die Hard" films, of which this is arguably quite similar.) Directed by Roland Emmerich from an original screenplay by James Vanderbilt, White House Down opens in theaters June 28th, 2013.
