John Dies at the End (2013)

Written and directed by Don Cocarelli and based on the novel of the same title by John Wong (pen name of Jason Pargin). Watch a red-band trailer for the film below.

Film Synopsis (from the studio): It's all about the Soy Sauce, a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. Users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John (Rob Mayes)and David (Chase Williamson), a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't.

Running time: 99 minutes. Rating: Rated R for bloody violence and gore, nudity, language and drug content.

The Sweeney


The Sweeney (2013)

Directed by Nick Love from an original screenplay co-written with John Hodge.

Film Synopsis (from the studio): Armed and dangerous the Sweeney Flying Squad are London's elite crime fighting force. Led by legendary Detective Jack Regan (Ray Winstone) they are not afraid to use old school bare-knuckle tactics to bring down the modern underworld. Now with a master criminal on the loose and a major bank heist in progress Regan will do whatever it takes to get the job done even if that means defying the orders of his boss (Damian Lewis) and taking the law into his own hands.

Running time: 112 minutes. Rating: Rated R for violence and language throughout and some sexual content.
