NBC has ordered a pilot for a remake of a crime drama classic: Ironside.
While we're generally not fans of remakes, the casting here has us interested: Blair Underwood will star as Robert Ironside, the wheelchair-bound chief of detectives originally played by Raymond Burr; the series aired on NBC from 1967 through 1975.
Mike Caleo (The Sopranos, The Last Time) will write the pilot screenplay, to be produced by Universal Television.
