The mysteries in Karin Slaughter's "Will Trent" series are being adapted for made-for-television movies by Yellow Bird, according to an article on Deadline. Slaughter is expected to draft the first screenplay from her novel Triptych, which introduces the character, an agent with the George Bureau of Investigation.
Yellow Bird has a stellar track record in crime novel adaptations, having produced all three of the original Swedish language versions of Stieg Larsson's "Millennium Trilogy" books as well as the BBC series Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh.
Though Triptych was a departure from Slaughter's "Grant County" mystery series, the two eventually merged, sharing several characters (if in supporting roles) though retaining their individual identities. Learn more about the book below.

A Will Trent Mystery (1st in series)
From Atlanta's wealthiest suburbs to its stark inner-city housing projects, a killer has crossed the boundaries of wealth and race. And the people who are chasing him must cross those boundaries, too.
Among them is Michael Ormewood, a veteran detective whose marriage is hanging by a thread — and whose arrogance and explosive temper are threatening his career. And Angie Polaski, a beautiful vice cop who was once Michael's lover before she became his enemy. But unbeknownst to both of them, another player has entered the game: a loser ex-con who has stumbled upon the killer's trail in the most coincidental of ways — and who may be the key to breaking the case wide open.
