Lori Armstrong is a fourth generation South Dakotan. She left the firearms industry in 2000 to pursue her dream of writing crime/mystery fiction and published her first (of four) books in the "Julie Collins" series in 2005, featuring a private investigator in Bear Butte County, South Dakota.
More recently Armstrong began a new series, also set in South Dakota, featuring Mercy Gunderson, a former Army sniper.
Medallion Press has now made a Kindle ebook bundle of the four "Julie Collins" books available for just $9.99, approximately half off the price of the books when purchased individually.

The Julie Collins Series
Lori G. Armstrong
The Julie Collins Mysteries
(Books 1 through 4)
Julie Collins is stuck in a dead-end secretarial job with the Bear Butte County Sheriff's office and still grieving over the unsolved murder of her Lakota half brother. Lack of public interest in finding his murderer or the killer of several other transient Native American men has left Julie with a bone-deep cynicism she counters with tequila, cigarettes, and dangerous men.
The one bright spot in her mundane life is the time she spends working part-time as a PI with her childhood friend Kevin Wells. Over time, she's drawn into murder cases, works undercover in a strip club, comes face-to-face with her brother's killer, and is forced to wrestle with issues that make her question old wounds and new family loyalties.
The titles in this series are: Blood Ties, Hallowed Ground, Shallow Grave, and Snow Blind, which won the 2009 Shamus Award for Best First Paperback Original.
