This is, putting it as gently as I possibly can, a terrible movie. The acting isn't bad; no, the fault lies partly with the screenwriters for putting so little effort into writing a coherent storyline and arrogantly assuming viewers would simply buy in to it; and more so with the director, who seems to be applying what he's learned from reading chapters in an introduction to directing-style book while filming the script.
