ABC has ordered Killer Women, a crime drama project based on the Argentine series Mujeres Asesinas, which itself is adapted from the trilogy of thrillers by Marisa Grinstein.
It isn't at all clear to us if Mujeres Asesinas, translated as "Killer Women", is non-fiction or fiction. The original books seem to be essentially a collection of short stories, each of which features a different female killer. The drama aired for four seasons in Argentina, winning all sorts of awards.
The project ordered by ABC will be centered on a female Texas Ranger. Modern Family's Sofia Vergara will executive produce a script written by Hannah Shakespeare (The Raven).
