The first hour of this thriller is terrific filmmaking: well-cast actors in a sharply written screenplay, crisply directed. Then it seems as if someone else stepped in at the one hour mark, ripped up the script, sent the actors home (as it were), and phoned in the direction. I'm still shocked at how poorly executed the second half of this film is.
