The Raid: Redemption (2012)

Film Synopsis (from the studio): A SWAT team arrives at a rundown apartment block with a mission to remove its owner, a notorious drug lord named Tama (Ray Sahetaphy). The building has never been raided before, never been touched by police. Seen as a no go zone it has since become a sanctuary to killers, gangs, rapists and thieves seeking accommodation in the one place they know they cannot be touched. Making their move in the break of dawn the SWAT team work their way up the building under cover of silence. But when a chance encounter with a spotter blows their cover and with news of their assault traveling to Tama in his penthouse suite the building is locked down with all lights out and all exits blocked. Stranded on the 6th floor the SWAT team must fight their way through every floor and every room not just to complete their mission … but to survive.

Directed by Gareth Evans from his own screenplay, this film runs 101 minutes and is not rated (but is equivalent to R).

Assassin's Bullet (2012)

Film Synopsis (from the studio): When an unknown vigilante begins killing high-priority terrorists from America's Most Wanted list in Europe, Robert Diggs, a former FBI field agent (Christian Slater), is brought in by the US Ambassador (Donald Sutherland) to discover the identity of the assassin. While tracking down the killer, Diggs comes across a sexy, belly-dancing redhead named Ursula. For once, Diggs is able to move beyond the painful memory of his wife's tragic death as he falls for the mysterious woman. Little does he know that Ursula is actually an assassin that has been trained to kill since she was a child, thanks to a rogue government project.

This direct-to-DVD release is directed by Isaac Florentine, runs 89 minutes and is rated R for violence.
