Damages: Season Four, a Telemystery Crime Series

Glenn Close stars as high-powered attorney Patty Hewes — a role for which she has won two Emmy Awards — in Damages.

Two years after the Tobin case, Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) has moved on with her life. When she discovers her high school sweetheart has been through a traumatic experience while working for High Star, a private security firm hired by the U.S. government to carry out special missions in Afghanistan, she suspects foul play and asks Patty for help. Patty knows that trying a case against High Star can make Ellen's career. Or ruin it.

John Goodman stars this season as Howard Erickson, the CEO of the company being sued.

Damages: Season Four is available on DVD and consists of episodes that originally aired on DirecTV during the summer of 2012. The fifth and final season of the series premieres July 11th.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent: Season Seven, a Telemystery Crime Series

Squad Detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio), Alex Eames (Kathryn Erbe), Mike Logan (Chris Noth) and Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) are back for another season of looking through the window of the criminal mind in Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

The Seventh Year includes episodes featuring high-profile criminal cases ripped from contemporary headlines. Investigations range from the murder of a modern-day pirate to the execution of three college freshmen and Goren going undercover at a mental hospital.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent: Season Seven is available on DVD, Amazon Instant, and iTunes, and consists of episodes that originally aired on USA Network — its first season on the NBC-owned cable channel — during the Fall of 2007 and Summer of 2008.

Poirot: Series Five, a Telemystery Crime Series

David Suchet returns as Agatha Christie's peerless Belgian privated detective Hercule Poirot in Poirot.

Poirot calls upon his famous little grey cells to crack cases that no one else could, aided by cohorts Captain Hastings (Hugh Fraser), Chief Inspector Japp (Philip Jackson), and Miss Lemon (Pauline Moran). The elegant world of 1930s Europe sparkles anew in these remastered adaptations, with guest stars including Anna Chancellor, Hermione Norris, and Jeremy Northam.

Poirot: Series Five is available on DVD and Blu-ray disc and consists of eight episodes that originally aired in their original broadcast order on ITV in early 1993.

Foyle's War: The Best of Foyle's War: Michael Kitchen's Favorite Episodes, a Telemystery Crime Series

Also this week is a collection of episodes specifically selected by Michael Kitchen from the first six seasons of the series, who brilliantly plays DCI Christopher Foyle in Foyle's War.

Created by crime novelist Anthony Horowitz and set against the backdrop of World War II, this award-winning British series is a favorite with mystery buffs. Foyle is a methodical detective chief superintendent investigating crimes that plague his once quaint English coastal community.

We have seen every episode of this series — at least twice — and highly recommend it.

And the best news yet is that it isn't over. ITV has confirmed it has commissioned three more episodes to air in 2013.

Foyle's War: The Best of Foyle's War: Michael Kitchen's Favorite Episodes is available on DVD and consists of the following episodes: "The German Woman", "Eagle Day", "Fifty Ships", "Among the Few", "The French Drop", and "Bad Blood".
