This first in a series (and the first to be translated into English) — and more of a "slice of life" novel than a crime novel— introduces the Istanbul mystery bookstore owner, who relates to the reader over a cup of coffee — not really, of course, but that's the style of the narrative — the events surrounding the visit of an old friend.
