Winner of the 2011 Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award Announced

Yesterday, the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival opened in Harrogate. As part of the opening day festivities, the winner of the Crime Novel of the Year Award was announced ... and is Lee Child for 61 Hours, the 14th book in his series featuring Jack Reacher. "I remember when I was writing 61 Hours that I felt it had come out nicely," the author said, "but to have the recognition is great."

Crime novelist P. D. James was also honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Crime Fiction Award.
