The Headhunter's Daughter by Tamar Myers. An Amanda Brown Mystery. William Morrow Trade Paperback, January 2011.
There is much to admire in this novel, from its interesting characters and vivid depictions of the countryside, though it is far more of a narrative on life in the late 1950s Belgian Congo -- and a somewhat heavy-handed one at that -- than it is a mystery.
