Amazon.com has announced a new Kindle DX Graphite with an all new, improved electronic ink display that offers 50% better contrast.
With the free 3G wireless turned on, the Kindle DX Graphite can be used for up to a week on a single charge; with the wireless off, the device can be used up to 2 weeks between charges.
It holds up to 3500 books, periodicals, and documents and can be read in direct sunlight without glare. The auto-rotating screen changes from portrait to landscape as needed.
Pre-orders are being taken now for the Kindle DX Graphite, with an expected ship date of July 7th.
