The Faithgirlz Boarding House Mysteries are a series of 4 books (to date) featuring Jeri McKane, a twelve-year-old sixth grader at the private Landmark School for Girls and a long way from home. As a reporter for the school newspaper, she is also an amateur sleuth with an eye like Nancy Drew. While searching for clues in the midst of danger, she learns to trust in God's Word and direction and discovers she has more faith and courage than she realizes.
In the first book of the series, Fading Tracks, Jeri wonders whether her scholarship to the prestigious school was worth it. She is tempted to give up when her Mom can't make parents' weekend, and the school bus carying her roommate, Rosa, disappears. The other titles in the series, all published earlier this year, are Secrets for Sale, Smoke Screen, and Pick Your Poison.
