Nominations for the 2007 Macavity Awards have been posed on the Mystery Readers International (MRI) website. The Macavity Award is named for the "mystery cat" of T. S. Eliot (Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats). Each year the members of MRI vote for their favorite mysteries in several categories.

The 2007 award winners will be announced September 27th during the opening ceremonies of Bouchercon, the World Mystery convention, in Anchorage, Alaska.
