Cinemax is reportedly looking to co-develop a crime drama with Søren Sveistrup, who created the popular Danish series Forbrydelsen, which was remade into the US series The Killing.
"We are trying to develop something with them for the US," said Piv Bernth, Head of Drama for Danish broadcaster DR. "Cinemax wants something bilingual. They like the tough, hard stuff, the action dramas and we have Søren Sveistrup working on something."
Cinemax currently has several original scripted series airing, including the international thriller Strike Back, which has been renewed for a third season, and its newest series, the crime drama Banshee, which began airing last month.
