Less than a week after its third season premiere, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that HBO has renewed True Blood for a fourth season. Twelve episodes have been ordered (the same as this season).
True Blood is based on the Southern Vampire mysteries by Charlaine Harris, and star Anna Paquin as the series character, telepathic barmaid Sookie Stackhouse. The most recent book in the series, Dead in the Family, its 10th, was published last month by Ace.
