Telemystery: US Air Date for the Special Episode of Sherlock

PBS has announced that Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will air here in the US on Friday, January 1st, 2016 at 9 PM ET/PT. An encore presentation will air on January 10th at 10 PM ET/PT.

We're learning the title of this special episode, and a little more from a longer 2-minute trailer (below), but not much in the way of overall storyline. The episode's title comes from a statement in "The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual" in the original canon — one of the very few narrated not by Dr. Watson but by Sherlock Holmes himself — but that doesn't necessarily mean that the plot will be based on that story. Still, it is intriguing to consider. No matter, we'll definitely be ready to enjoy this special episode of the series come the first of the year.
