A Mysterious Review of Rosarito Beach by M. A. Lawson. A Kay Hamilton Mystery.

Review summary: This first in series title has a solid thriller storyline and a strong sense of good and evil. The problem here is the lead herself, who is not the most likeable of characters. Telemystery: Debra Messing Cast as Lead in NBC's Pilot The Mysteries of Laura

One of potential series we're most looking forward to seeing is NBC's The Mysteries of Laura, based on the Spanish series of the same title (Los Misterios De Laura).

And we're even more excited now that Debra Messing has been cast as the lead. McG will direct the pilot from an screenplay written by Jeff Rake.

The storyline is centered on a female homicide detective trying to balance her career with her personal life. She is a brilliant police inspector who, after her recent divorce, must face complicated cases and also take charge of two small potential criminals: her twin children.

Production is expected to begin soon, shooting on location in New York City. Let's hope it turns out well enough that the network greenlights a full season.
