Cinemystery: Nic Pizzolatto's Crime Thriller Galveston to be Adapted for Film

Jean Doumanian Productions will produce a film adaptation of Nic Pizzolatto's Edgar Award-nominated crime thriller Galveston. (More about the book, below.)

Pizzolatto, who created, wrote and executive produces HBO's new drama True Detective, has written the screenplay. Janus Metz will direct.

Matthias Schoenaerts has been cast in the lead role of Roy Cady. Production is expected to begin in Spring 2014.
