The chase for The Fugitive comes to an exciting close!

David Janssen stars as Dr. Richard Kimble, a man wrongly accused of murdering his wife, who escapes custody and searches for the real killer, a one-armed man he saw leaving the crime scene.

The series finale, a two-part episode titled "The Judgment" that aired on August 22nd and August 23rd, 1967, was the most watched television program in history and remained so until the 1980 "Who Shot J.R." episode of Dallas and later by the finale of M*A*S*H in 1983.

The The Fugitive: Season Four (Volume 2) DVD set of 4 discs contain the final 15 episodes of the series that aired on ABC in 1967.

Ms. Terri Reviews Dying for Daylight

Consisting of four episodes and featuring vampire Dahlia Lynley-Chivers, a character created by mystery author Charlaine Harris, Dying for Daylight is an entertaining, though at times challenging, hidden object (but not quite adventure) game that has a compelling storyline and a high quality look to it.

The Hidden by Bill Pronzini (Mystery Book Review)

The Hidden by Bill Pronzini. Non-series. Walker Hardcover, November 2010.

The plot is a little thin and there is not much suspense in what can arguably be called a mystery movie of the week novel, with the focus more on complicated relationships and the threat of a serial killer on the loose. Still, it's relatively short and written in such a way that there's nothing to slow down the pacing.

Burn Notice Prequel, The Fall of Sam Axe, Premieres April 17th on USA

Two weeks ago we learned that production was underway for the Burn Notice prequel featuring Sam Axe's last mission as a Navy SEAL and directed by series star Jeffrey Donovan.

Now we have an premiere date and title for the USA Network made-for-television film: Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe will air April 17th.

There's still not much more to go on, plot-wise, but as we learn more we'll pass it along.

Enter a vampire world as Dahlia, a vampire with a fantastic sense of fashion and a razor-sharp wit! As vampires have been productive and ultimately accepted into society, their ancient vulnerability remains true – they can only emerge at night. When rumors circulate that a legendary potion exists allowing vampires to walk amid the daylight, Dahlia jumps at the chance to further investigate.

Four episodes are featured in this game.

In "Vampire Wars" Dahlia travels to the Cirque Terrible in New Orleans and discovers she's not the only one looking for the legendary sun potion.

In "The Wizard in the Basement" she learns that the ingredients and recipe for the sun potion have been scattered among fleeing circus members.

Dahlia travels to Memphis to track down "The Glutton of Gilborne" in the third episode.

And she comes face to face with her deadly vampire rivals in Charleston in "Inked".

Dahlia is based on a character created by mystery author Charlaine Harris, who featured her in a number of short stories. Harris is also the author of the Southern Vampire mysteries, which have served as the basis for the HBO series True Blood.

Dead Even by Frank Zafiro (Mystery Book Review)

Dead Even by Frank Zafiro. A River City Crime Anthology. Gray Dog Press Trade Paperback, October 2010.

This anthology of short stories consists primarily of character situation studies -- featuring cops and criminals from the author's River City crime novels -- but fortunately these are characters that are interesting and worth spending time with. No doubt, many readers will subsequently seek out the novels to see how they fare in a more fully developed environment.

HBO Launches True Blood Behind-the-Scenes Blog

Just a few minutes ago, HBO launched the Inside True Blood blog to give fans of the series behind-the-scenes details on the show's cast, production notes for Season 4, and more.

Executive producer Alan Ball's assistant will report live from the set. In her first post, she says, "Now I don't want to give away too many details, but today’s call sheet includes the words hostage, bites, dinner and Eric. There is also a General Safety Memo When Working with Exotic Animals attached to the front. This is one dangerous place to be, and things are as big and crazy as ever. But it's a long road from now until the premiere of Season 4. There is a lot of work to be done and a lot of waiting to suffer through. But you needn't do that alone, I am here to provide your weekly dose."

Jennifer Lawrence May Play Role of Ophelia in Film Adaptation of Savages by Don Winslow

It was just about a year ago that we reported that Oliver Stone was set to produce and direct a film adaptation of Don Winslow's crime novel Savages.

Now, Deadline|Hollywood is reporting that Jennifer Lawrence may play the role of the young woman in a love triangle — and the center of business "negotiations" — that includes two best friends. Lawrence was recently nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in Winter's Bone, one of, if not the, best film (in our opinion) of 2010.

In the book, part-time environmentalist and philanthropist Ben and his ex-mercenary buddy Chon run a Laguna Beach-based marijuana operation, reaping significant profits from their loyal clientele. In the past when their turf was challenged, Chon took care of eliminating the threat. But now they may have come up against something that they can't handle — the Mexican Baja Cartel wants in, and sends them the message that a "no" is unacceptable. When they refuse to back down, the cartel escalates its threat, kidnapping Ophelia (Jennifer Lawrence's potential role), the boys' playmate and confidante. O's abduction sets off a dizzying array of ingenious negotiations and gripping plot twists that will captivate readers eager to learn the costs of freedom and the price of one amazing high.

A list of the top 15 mystery hardcover bestsellers for the week ending February 11th, 2011 has been posted on the Hidden Staircase Mystery Books website.

Just some minor shuffling among the top four from from last week, with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson remaining at the top of the list. One new title debuts this week.

Entering the list in 10th position is A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.

Bosley Cast in Charlie's Angels Reboot

Ever since we learned that ABC was seriously planning on rebooting its 1970s series Charlie's Angels, we knew casting would be key.

We were thrilled with the first announcement, that Robert Wagner would take on the role of the unseen Charlie, previously played by the late John Forsythe.

The angels were cast soon thereafter: Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly, and Rachel Taylor. Quite frankly, we didn't recognize any of the names so had no reaction one way or the other.

Now, Inside TV is reporting that the final piece to the puzzle has been placed: Ramon Rodriguez (The Wire, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) will take on the role of Bosley, Charlie's on-screen liaison to the angels.

This new series will be set in Miami, and production is expected to begin later this spring.

Stephenie Meyer's The Host to be Adapted for Film

Variety is reporting that Susanna White will direct a film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's sci-fi suspense thriller The Host. Meyer may be best known for her wildly popular young adult "Twilight" novels, which have all been adapted into movies.

In the book, the world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Wanderer probes Melanie's thoughts, hoping to discover the whereabouts of the remaining human resistance. Instead, Melanie fills Wanderer's mind with visions of the man Melanie loves—Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she has been tasked with exposing. When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

Ryan Gosling to Star in Film Adaptation (and Remake) of Logan's Run

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ryan Gosling has signed to star in a film adaptation of the 1967 science fiction thriller Logan's Run by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. The book was previously made into a 1976 film also titled Logan's Run.

Nicolas Winding Refn (Miss Marple: Nemesis, Valhalla Rising) is set to direct a screenplay by Alex Garland, which is said to follow the novel much closer than the earlier film.

The book is set in the 22nd century, where the planet's population and its consumption of natural resources is maintained in equilibrium by managing the birth and death rates of its citizens. People who refuse to voluntarily submit to termination on their specified date, who become Runners, are chased down by Sandmen, whose job it is to execute them. But when a Sandman named Logan 3 reaches his termination age, he, too, becomes a Runner, determined to escape to a mythical place called Sanctuary, where one can live their life out freely.
