The four principals used to be the CIA's top agents -- but the secrets they know just made them the Agency's top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience, and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.

Charlaine Harris's Harper Connelly Mysteries to be Adapted for Television by CBS

Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris
More information about the book

Mystery writer Charlaine Harris already has one television series based on her characters on the air (HBO's True Blood); now CBS may be adding another.

Variety is reporting that the broadcast network is interested in Harris's Harper Connelly series, the first book of which, Grave Sight, will also serve as the series title. Brothers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott will co-executive produce.

Set in the Deep South, Harper Connelly has what you might call a strange job: she finds dead people. The way Harper sees it, she's providing a service to the dead while bringing some closure to the living -- but she's used to most people treating her like a blood-sucking leech. Traveling with her stepbrother Tolliver as her manager and sometime-bodyguard, she's become an expert at getting in, getting paid, and getting out fast. Because for the living it's always urgent -- even if the dead can wait forever.

Film Adaptation of Video Game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Planned

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Playstation 3)

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that a film adaptation of the popular video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, will be scripted and directed by David O. Russell (Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees).

An action adventure suspense game released in 2007 and available exclusively for the Playstation 3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune features Nathan Drake, a descendent of Sir Francis Drake, who is seeking the lost treasure of El Dorado. Other characters include journalist Elena Fisher and Drake's side-kick Victor "Sully" Sullivan. A sequel to the game, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, was released in 2009.

An early trailer for the game can be seen below. Seems awfully similar to the Indiana Jones films -- and maybe that's intentional. What do you think about this adaptation?

Lionsgate Acquires Puppet/Human Film Project Happytime Murders

Brian Henson, Jim Henson's son, is set to direct. Production may start as early as January 2011.

New Trailer for Second Season of Justified Released by FX Networks

Justified (FX Networks)

The second season of Justified doesn't premiere until next February, but FX Networks has just released a trailer for it; you can watch it below.

Based on a character created by crime novelist Elmore Leonard, Justified stars Timothy Olyphant as Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens, a true-blue hero and something of a throwback, given to wearing a Stetson and cowboy boots, carrying his sidearm in a hip holster –- a weapon he only draws when he has to, and when he does, he shoots to kill, because, as he sees it, that’s the purpose of a gun.
