Telemystery: Jesse Stone, Lost in Paradise, Premieres October 18th on Hallmark Channel

Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise

We're not at all sure how we missed this news from earlier this year, but Tom Selleck is reprising his role as Jesse Stone in a new made-for-television movie Lost in Paradise, scheduled to premiere on Hallmark Channel Sunday, October 18th, 2015 at 9 PM ET/PT. The movie will air again on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel the following Sunday.

Back in March, it was reported that Hallmark had approached Selleck to star in a 9th film based on a character created by Robert B. Parker. CBS aired eight previous movies, some adapted from books in the series, with the most recent of these produced in 2012. The current deal with Hallmark guarantees at least one more movie after Lost in Paradise.

Selleck co-wrote the screenplay of Lost in Paradise with Michael Brandman. The storyline is centered on an unsolved murder case in Boston. The local police suspect "The Boston Ripper", a killer who is already behind bars, but Stone believes the murderer is a bit closer to home, setting him off on an investigation filled with surprises and grave danger.

"Tom Selleck is a TV legend and Jesse Stone is a cornerstone franchise on our very successful Hallmark Movies & Mysteries," Crown Media Family Networks EVP Michelle Vicary said in a statement. "While unprecedented to debut a program across our networks, we want Tom's millions of fans to see one of TV's greatest actors reprise one of his best roles ever."
