The winners of the 2014 Lovey Awards were announced last night during this year's Love is Murder Mystery Conference.
Up to ten categories are eligible to be honored (depending on the number of nominees) with this year's winners taking awards home in six of them:
• Best First Novel: One Man's Castle by J. Michael Major
• Best Traditional/Amateur Sleuth: Peak Season for Murder by Gail Lukasik
• Best Paranormal/Sci-Fi: Girl Z: My Life as a Teenage Zombie by Christine Verstraete
• Best Suspense: The Black Stiletto: Stars & Stripes by Raymond Benson
• Best Series: Close-Up On Murder (Murder, She Wrote) by Donald Bain
• Best Short Story: "Harry's Loss of Grace" by Luisa Buehler
