Telemystery: USA Cancels Psych after 8 Seasons

Telemystery Prime Time Crime: Mystery and Suspense on Television

USA Network has canceled Psych after eight seasons.

"Psych has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy," said Chris McCumber, USA Network president. "The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series' incredible run. And while the series will wrap in March somehow I don't believe we've heard the last of Shawn and Gus." Hmm. Might we see a made-for-television movie in the future?

The series finale will air on March 26th, 2014. Watch what stars James Roday and Dulé Hill have to say about the series coming to a close, below.

  1. I'm really bummed they're ending. Admittedly the past few episodes have been a little weak (half the regular characters seem to be missing and Anthony Michael Hall was just flailing around in his guest spot), but they have had so many great episodes over the years it's hard to begrudge them the occasional swing and a miss. It's sad to think that come this fall there will be no more new Psych episodes to look forward to. Which, for me, means there really won't be anything on USA to watch anymore. Sigh.
