Cinemystery: Jason Statham To Star in Film Adaptation of Viva La Madness by J. J. Connolly

Cinemystery: Crime Novels Adapted for Film

Jason Statham has been named to the role first played by Daniel Craig (in 2004's Layer Cake) in the film adaptation of Viva La Madness by J. J. Connolly. (More about the book, below.) As he did with Layer Cake, Connolly is writing the adapted screenplay.

Ten years passed between the publication of the two crime novels by Connolly, which share the same nameless character, which in this most recent outing seeking a place to retire only to get drawn back into the drug game.
