Telemystery: Billy Bob Thornton To Star in FX's Fargo Mini-Series

Back in March we reported that FX Networks had ordered a limited series — some are now calling it an "event series" — inspired by the 1996 crime film Fargo. Now we're learning that casting has begun, and Billy Bob Thornton will play Lorne Malvo, a manipulative man similar to the one Steve Buscemi played in the film. (None of the original characters from the film are expected to make an appearance here.)

Noah Hawley will write the script for the 10-part mini-series, which will be executive produced by Fargo's original screenwriters and director, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. Filming will begin in Canada this Fall with the series premiering on FX in Spring 2014.
