Telemystery: Benedict Cumberbatch Confirms 4th Season of Sherlock

Telemystery Prime Time Crime: Mystery and Suspense on Television

Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed that there will be a fourth season of Sherlock.

"We've agreed to two more series [seasons] but I could get into trouble for saying that," he revealed at the South Bank Show Awards today. (The "we" includes co-star Martin Freeman, who plays John Watson in the series.) "All I know at the moment is I'm doing these three [episodes of the upcoming season] and another three."

The first of the three episodes of the third season begins filming next week. No premiere date for the season has (yet) been announced by the BBC, on which it will air first.

  1. Great news. They ended on a cliffhanger so I'm looking forward to see how that plays out.
