CWA 2013 Debut Dagger Competition Now Open

The Crime Writers' Association

The Crime Writers' Association has opened the 2013 competition for the Debut Dagger, open to anyone, who has not yet had a novel published commercially. The first prize is £700 and all shortlisted entrants will receive a professional assessment of their entries.

You have until February 2nd, 2013 to submit your entry. The CWA has a handy FAQ page that answers many questions. (For example, the competition is worldwide, published authors of short stories can enter, only the first 3000 words of your entry will be considered, and there is a £25 entry fee.)

The shortlist is expected to be announced at Crimefest in May 2013 with the winner announced at an awards ceremony in July.
