Mysterious Press announced yesterday that the eight books in David Handler's "Stewart Hoag" mystery series, originally published between 1988 and 1997, have been re-issued in e-book format. We've listed them below, in their series order.
These entertaining mysteries — we've read them all — feature celebrity ghostwriter Stewart Hoag, an amateur sleuth who is always accompanied by his bassett hound Lulu. The third book in the series, The Man Who Would Be F. Scott Fitzgerald, was recognized with an Edgar Award in 1991 as Best Paperback Original.
In 2001, Handler began a new mystery series, featuring film critic Mitch Berger and Connecticut police trooper Desiree "Des" Mitry. He is also the author of the stand-alone novel, Click to Play.
