Prometheus Books has announced a new crime novel imprint to be called Seventh Street Books. Dan Mayer, formerly the mystery book buyer for Barnes & Noble, will be the editorial director.
"I'm looking forward to what by all accounts is a dream job. A new imprint devoted to mystery and thriller fiction is ripe with possibilities," said Mayer.
Ten to twelve titles — trade paperback and ebook — are expected to be available for the imprint's launch late next year, with about double that to be published during the following twelve months.
